Patio Construction Company was founded in 1953 by Louis Sollosi. The company's primary focus was on local concrete construction. In 1975 Louis and his Son, Richard, transformed their company by purchasing ready-to-mix concrete trucks and trailers. They changed the name of the company to Patio Concrete Products, Inc.

At that time the two were involved in pouring and placing concrete for various foundations, slabs, driveways, side walks, patios and curbs. They purchased a silo and began making concrete for use by home owners and local contractors. The purchase of several concrete trucks allowed them to deliver and mix the concrete on site, and deliver it to the customers location.

With the success of their company, Patio Concrete developed a pre-cast division and began to create concrete items such parking bumpers, fence post, picnic tables, bench ends and various sizes of concrete pads.

In 1996, Patio Concrete was approached by a major international chemical supplier to create some small (4" x 6" x 1") concrete blocks that their products could be tested or developed on. With the success of this unique product, other major corporations began to inquire and request concrete blocks that would be used for their own needs.

Patio Concrete has since dropped the construction aspect of their business and concentrates specifically on the pre-cast concrete testing blocks. Today, we partner with many major national and international corporations, supplying them with their specific testing block needs.
